School Counseling Philosophy All students can succeed if provided the right opportunity and support. A comprehensive school counseling program should empower all students to challenge themselves to meet their fullest potential. The school counseling program will address the academic, career, and social/emotional developmental needs of students, as well. This is best achieved with the involvement of parents, families, staff, and community members that are engaged in the learning process. The counselors should be committed to upholding the highest ethical and legal standards, as well as participating in professional development to keep up to date with the best practices in school counseling.
